Enrollment & Tuition

Enrollment for the upcoming year begins February 1 for church members, current families, and past families. Enrollment opens to new families on March 1. Enrollments are accepted until classes are full, then students will be waitlisted. Payments may be made online through Brightwheel. Brightwheel is a free app for parents, teachers, and administrators to communicate, sign in/out, and track payments. All fees below are non-refundable.

Registration Fee:

• $150/child before April 1, 2025
• $175/child from April 1, 2025-May 31, 2025
• $200/child after June 1, 2025

Other Enrollment Fees:

• Snack Fee - $70
• Field Trip/Activity Fee - $75 
  • Covers the cost of the school's two field trips (Pumpkin Patch and Kansas City Zoo for child and parent) and other activities. 
• Early Bird Care - $15/day
  • Early Bird Care is from 8 AM-9 AM and costs $15.00/day. It must be scheduled in advance.

Classes & Fees (Updated February 2025)

Preschool Tots: 2.5 years old by July 31

Preschool Tots is for students who will attend school only on Tuesday/Thursday. Children must be 2.5 years old by July 31. No Early Bird offering is available for Tots.

Preschool (PS): 3 years old by July 31

Preschool is open to children who will not be going to kindergarten the following year. Children must be 3 years old by July 31. Early Bird is available and must be scheduled in advance.

Prekindergarten (PK+): 4 years old by July 31

PreK is for students who will be going to kindergarten the following school year and must attend till 2 PM. This class is great preparation for all-day kindergarten. Children will participate in all the activities of the traditional 3-hour class. Children must be 4 years old by July 31. Early Bird is available and must be scheduled in advance. 

Brightwheel

Brightwheel is the app St. Matthew Preschool uses to track sign-ins and outs, capture classroom milestones, communicate with families, share photos and videos, manage tuition, and much more. The app is free to parents. To fill out forms, you must use Brightwheel on a computer but can communicate and pay your fees using your mobile app. Teachers will respond to messages during school hours through the app. (Administration will respond after hours if the issue is urgent.) 

Handbook

The handbook is updated annually and downloaded into Brightwheel for parents to review.

The State Health Department requires the children to be up-to-date on their immunizations. The parents must provide a signed medical form and a copy of the immunization record at the time school starts each year. Students will not be permitted to attend school without these forms.

• The state requires enrollment and parent responsibility forms to be on file when the child starts preschool.
• Children must be potty-trained and wear underwear. 
• We follow the Jackson County Health Department guidance with regard to COVID-19 quarantine requirements.
